We’re eager for spring — already. The best way to experience the season in all its glory is to attend the 2017 Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville. There at Nashville’s Music City Center, America’s leading interior designers, architects, and events planners, along with some 150 antiques, art, and horticultural dealers, gather to present their finest wares and objects. This year’s Honorary Chair, architect Gil Schafer, whose work has been featured in MILIEU, will be celebrated at the kick-off Preview Party on the evening of February 2.
Interior designer and television personality Nate Berkus leads the lecture series on Friday (February 3) with a talk on how houses tell stories about our lives, followed by Brooke and Steve Giannetti discussing their ongoing collaboration as interior designer and architect. On Saturday (February 4), MILIEU will be the national media sponsor of “The Dream Team” design panel/lecture, moderated by Robert Leleux, and that features style-makers Mary McDonald, Jesse Carrier, Mara Miller, and Nathan Turner. Another not-to-miss event is the “Events of a Lifetime” talk with Tara Guérard, who shares her wedding and event design expertise.
At the heart of the show is its annual charitable causes to support Cheekwood, Nashville's beloved 1930's-era estate, along with its Botanical Garden and Museum of Art, and the Economic Club of Nashville (ECON), a nonprofit dedicated to raising funds for more than twenty charities focused on Nashville area children and families.
