The editors at MILIEU were delighted when we learned that interior designer Tristan Auer was named Designer of the Year at the annual MAISON & OBJET event in Paris, earlier this month. The fair, the most ambitious home décor event anywhere, is always one of our favorite venues. Tristan, who studied under and worked with such talents as Christian Liaigre and Philippe Starck (both of whose designs we have featured in our pages), has managed to defined himself for his custom furnishings and collaborations with such notable brands and destinations as Holly Hunt, Cartier, Pouenat, the Hotel de Crillon, and many others. He is a strong believer in creating interiors in which people are inspired to fashion their own lives, something we embrace, too, at MILIEU.
Already, MILIEU is anticipating the forthcoming Maison & Object, January 19–23, 2018; for tickets and information, maison-objet.com
